The formulation process begins with pre-acidified Vivitein™ BLG, which can be solubilized at concentrations up to 25% without creating undesirable viscosity or sedimentation. Final product pH is typically adjusted to 3.2–3.8, enabling both microbial stability and a tart, refreshing flavor profile suitable for fruit-based variants. To ensure shelf life, the shots can be preserved through either cold-fill with preservatives or High Pressure Processing (HPP).
